Who usually qualifies
In plain words, the usual conditions.
- You rent a whole home or flat as your permanent home. Rooms do not qualify.
- You are 35 or younger. A couple can also apply when one partner is 36 or 37 and the other is 35 or younger.
- Over 35, there is a version for households whose income fell sharply (by 20% or more) and for single parents.
- The rent is under the maximum for your area and home size, the lease is registered at Finanças, and your household income is within the limits.

Authorise and connect Finanças
If you may qualify, you sign a free, read-only authorisation and connect Finanças in a pop-up. About 2 minutes. We read your household and lease ourselves.

We check and send you a proposal
We check your eligibility from your Finanças data and send you a proposal. Nothing is filed at this stage.
- Step 4
You decide, we follow it up
If you go ahead, you sign a separate service agreement. We prepare the application and follow it up with the housing authority. A decision usually takes 30 to 90 days.
What to expect
Up to 50% in the first year, then less.
In the best case the support covers up to 50% of your rent in the first year, then less in the years after, for up to five years if you qualify each time. What you get depends on your household, and it is never a promise.
Example: On a rent of 700 EUR the support can reach up to about 350 EUR a month in year 1 (Lisbon, T1-T2, top band), if you qualify. We work out your real figure.
Honest limits
Approval is never guaranteed, and if you are unlikely to qualify we tell you plainly instead of taking your time.

Do I have to deal with the housing authority myself?
No. We prepare the application, submit it and follow it up. You answer our questions and we do the rest.
I am not sure I qualify. What now?
Take the free check. If it is unlikely to work, we say so plainly, tell you what would have to change, and you have lost nothing.
What do you need from me?
Your email for the result, then a read-only authorisation and your Finanças login, so we read your lease and household income ourselves. If anything is missing, we ask you for exactly that.
How long does it take?
The check takes a minute and connecting Finanças about 2 minutes. After we apply, a decision usually takes 30 to 90 days. The timing is not ours to set, and we keep you updated.
